Mosquito DNA Extraction and High Throughput Gene Targeting on Bead Ruptor 96 Bead Mill Homogenizer

In the following application, mosquitos, specifically Aedes aegypti, were homogenized using the Bead Ruptor 96 for DNA quantification. DNA was further analyzed via PCR amplification of 18S rRNA gene and a Aedes serine protease gene, Serpin 5b, and gel electrophoresis to quantify PCR products.
