In the following application, organic soybeans were homogenized using the GLH-850 fitted with a 10 mm stainless steel probe followed by DNA extraction and quantification via spectrophotometry. DNA was visualized via gel electrophoresis, and amplified via qPCR for the detection of the 5’-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS) gene. This study was performed to quantify cross-contamination during rotor-stator homogenization.
