100 mg of bamboo leaves were placed in a 2 mL tube containing 2.8 mm ceramic beads and 0.8 mL of a DNA lysis buffer. The sample was placed in a tube holder attachment and processed on the Bead Ruptor 96 at 30 Hz for 6 cycles of 1 minute with 30 second dwells.
